FAQ About the Junior Ski to Sea Race:
REGISTRATION FORM: When parents fill out the registration form online the computer needs to be hooked up to a local printer. Once you SUBMIT the form, the print dialog box will come up. This allows you to print out the form. This printout contains blank lines for the parent's signatures on the hold harmless agreement. THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT and must be signed by all the parents. (If the print dialog box does not appear, you can still print out the form by clicking on the red button on the confirmation page.)
WHEN ARE TEAMS CONSIDERED REGISTERED: A team is not "fully" registered until:
a.we have all six racers' information,
b.we have a completely filled out Hold Harmless form and
c.we have received the entire payment for the team.
PAYMENTS: We prefer checks, and will only take checks for the full amount of the team registration fee of $78.00. We will not accept checks for or from each individual racer. Checks can be made out to BWCCI. The cost of registration is $78 per team, which works out to $13 per racer. We will accept credit cards, by calling the Chamber at 360-734-1330 or by stopping in the office at 119 N. Commercial St., Suite 110 (directly across from the Mt Baker Theatre in the Bellingham Towers Bldg., at the corner of Flora and Commercial Sts.).
REPLACEMENT RACERS: If a team needs to replace a racer after already submitting the online registration form, they should email Sarah at sbsintern@bellingham.com OR call the Chamber OR stop by and give us the new name. They SHOULD NOT fill out the registration form again. The replacement racer will need to sign the hold harmless form (paper version available at the chamber office and we can email the form).
RACERS IN DIVISIONS: A racer can be in only one division, on one team. No exceptions. Divisions fill up fast so parents are urged to register their team asap.
PAPER REGISTRATION FORM: If a team wants to register and NOT use the online form, we can email them a paper registration form for an additional registration cost of $25 for data input, plus the normal team registration cost of $78.
TEAMS THAT MEET TOGETHER AT LAKE PADDEN: Teams should establish a meeting time and specific place at Lake Padden. Registration cannot locate specific teams for individuals.
SHUTTLE BUS TO LAKE PADDEN: There is a free shuttle bus from the Lincoln Creek Park n Ride (The old Samish Drive In now used for WWU parking) to Lake Padden. All Racers and parents are urged to take this to ease the parking at Lake Padden. The shuttle bus runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on race day, May 22nd.
